From an information design POV, the site is accessible and easy to read. From my personal POV, the text is over-large; but I may not feel that way in a few years and I know it's easier for others, so I wouldn't want it changed.
The colors in the header, and to some extent the background for the other pages, are complementary, providing a setting for local pics full of similar colors. And they're attractive.
I'm not much on the brown text, but then I have a thing about brown. Having grown up in the sere West Texas desert, where the only green things were generally planted and protected by humans and the only blue things, other than the sky, were the mirages (even the water, when it existed, was brown or reddish-brown). I much prefer greens and blues in any color scheme. But hey! That's just me.
The brown stands out as a topic heading if that's what you intended. If I had been designing the page, I'd've probably chosen (0, 0, 51)/000033, which approximates Reflex Blue.
Great work, anyhow. Thanks again for setting up the site.
